Getting a co-signer

As someone with bad credit, you probably think that you have blown your chance of getting a college education because you won't be able to qualify for any loans. There is no need for you to despair yet; all you have to do is turn away from private lending institutions and look for other alternatives. There are federal student loan programs out there who don't require a credit history or a credit check for its applicants. Or you can even have a cosigner for the loan, so long as he or she has a good credit history. You may even be able to find private banks who would still be willing to grant you a loan, although more likely one with a higher interest rate. It will be quite a challenge, but if you can manage to score a decent loan for your college education, then the legwork is worth it.
